Pinning will likely only take 30-45 minutes, but the extra time is there so I can go over some helpful information and answer any questions.
Cut off to sign up is March 11th so that I can ship out supplies and you can start hydrating in time.
FRAMES:
There is an option to add on a 12x15 frame so that you can have something to put your orb weaver in after it dries. These are made to order and made with hard wood. Please reach out to @glowood_studio on Instagram if you’d like to add on a frame made from either Maple, White Oak, or Black Walnut. Other sizing options are available, prices vary.
The foam boards in the kit are basic and intended for beginners. If you would like something more sturdy and adjustable, you can look around for another option to use before the day of the class. Spiders do not require anything more than a flat piece of thick foam or anything a pin can be pushed through. The kit includes a board that can be used for other insects as well.
A pinning kit is not included in the price, so make sure you are selecting the correct option if you need a kit! My kit includes a foam pinning board, a set of size 2 entomology pins, parchment paper, two unspread butterflies, and a pair of spade tip tweezers.
