If you are going with someone, you can purchase one class with a pinning kit and one without a kit, then add on another board and pair of tweezers. You would just share the set of pins!
This listing is to reserve your spot in the 2-part scorpion pinning class at Made By You Studio on February 9th and 16th! The first class will teach you how to pin your own scorpion, while the second class will teach you how to mount your scorpion into an 8x10 frame (or frame of your choice, but must have at least 1 inch of space between the back and front of the glass),
A selection of florals and fabrics will be available to add on at the beginning of class if you’d like to make a more detailed frame versus a scientific style frame. This will add to the cost and will be charged as a flat rate ($10) in class. All frames will include a label with the scientific name if wanted.
A pinning kit is not included in the price, so make sure you are selecting the correct option if you need a kit! My kit includes a foam pinning board, a set of size 2 entomology pins, parchment paper, two unspread butterflies, and a pair of spade tip tweezers.
For part 2, you will need a hot glue gun or glue of your choice (other glue may take longer to cure). I will bring a few extra glue guns to use, but it will be faster if you provide your own from home. I personally only use Gorilla Glue hot glue! You can get this at Michael’s or Joann.
Scorpions do not need a special board to pin them, this is something you could DIY with a flat piece of thick styrofoam! You will also need tweezers (spade tip, not pointy!) and pins.
